COVID-19 INFORMATION:  While participating in in-person meetings held or sponsored by the Coastal Women’s Forum (CWF) “social distancing” must be practiced and face coverings worn at all times, except when eating a meal, to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID19. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, CWF has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, CWF cannot guarantee that its members or guests in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. In light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not engage in CWF in-person. By attending a CWF event, you certify that you do not fall into any of the following categories: 1. Individuals who currently or within the past fourteen (14) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others; 2. Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or 3. Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

Happy New Year!

Join us for our next Evening Meeting via Zoom

January 20, 2021 ~ 6-7 pm

As we enter into the new year, let us continue to keep in line with the 2020-2021 theme, Prism of Possibilities.  There is always the possibility to learn something new!   We will kick off the new year learning about yoga!

Meeting Speaker:  Heather Noto

Heather's dance teacher introduced her to yoga over 20 years ago and it was love at first downward dog. In mid-2019, Heather made the shift from a full-time marketing/business strategist to full-time yoga teacher.

Becoming a yoga teacher is one of Heather’s greatest joys as she is constantly inspired and honored to witness the powerful and positive shifts her students make on their mats and in their lives.  In addition to her initial teacher training through Asheville Yoga Center, she has completed numerous hours in advanced training including Yoga for Back Care, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Meditation and is also a certified Reiki Master.  Holding the space for others on their yoga journey is Heather's reason for teaching.  She is registered with Yoga Alliance, E-RYT (R) 200.

Heather is going to share with us the health benefits of Yoga.  She will then instruct us through "chair" yoga exercises/program.
