Welcome to Coastal Women's Forum. CWF (Coastal Women's Forum) is an organization that provides women with business and professional networking opportunities. With monthly meetings offering dinner or lunch venues, we can accommodate busy schedules. Dinner and lunchprograms offer a variety of speakers on local and regional interests. We promote self-development through our programs, presentations and discussions on business related topics.
Mission Statement
Coastal Women’s Forum provides an opportunity for business and professional women to meet periodically to enjoy, learn from, and support one another. The group promotes self-development through networking and enhancement of business and professional acumen among women in this community through programs, presentations, discussions on business and related topics, and via personal contacts. Members are career women and women who have been involved in or anticipate a career in business, professional, or public life.
CWF 2012 College Scholarship
CWF encourages education by offering $750 college scholarship
Coastal Women’s Forum is pleased to announce a $750 college scholarship award. The unrestricted scholarship is available for a young woman residing in Craven County and graduating in the spring of 2012 from a local high school, private school or home school who meets the criteria.
CWF, a non-profit women’s organization formed in 1987, promotes self-development through networking, encouragement and education. This academic scholarship is a partnership that works in our community. It is important to support the next generation of women in New Bern and encourage their education.
Application Criteria:
- Be a female resident of Craven County, graduating in 2012
- Have a grade point average of 3.2
- Submit a completed application to the school guidance office or appropriate representative no later March 25, 2012.
Check shall be made payable to student for discretionary college expenses.
Application Process:
- The applicant shall submit a complete Coastal Women’s Forum application form, a recent photo, essay and two letters of recommendation.
- The guidance office or appropriate representative shall forward all the materials to the Scholarship Chairperson of CWF no later than April 4, 2012.
The winner will be announced in May, 2012. Application online to follow.

from New Bern High School.
