  • 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • New Bern Golf and Country Club

Registration

December is traditionally the month that Coastal Women’s Forum allows the President to present her charity for the year and request donations to show our support as an organization. This year, the Coastal Women’s Forum President’s Charity is Sound Rivers.

Sound Rivers is a nonprofit organization that guards the health of the Neuse and Tar-Pamlico River Basins. They unite with concerned citizens to monitor, protect and preserve the watersheds covering nearly one quarter of North Carolina. They do this through water protection, community engagement, and pollution reduction. Their mission statement is to monitor and protect the Neuse and Tar-Pamlico River watersheds covering nearly one quarter of North Carolina, and to preserve the health and beauty of the river basin through environmental justice.

Our December Daytime Meeting Speaker is Corinne Belch, Sound Rivers Director of Development. Corinne will educate us on their work and how we can become involved in keeping the beautiful Neuse River healthy and flourishing for years to come.

There is a link under President’s Charity on our website where you may read more about Sound Rivers and how to donate. If you wish, you may bring your checks and cash to the December meeting and donate directly there. Make your check payable to Sound Rivers.
