Creating a more balanced life with Michele Ruhmann

Michele is a nationally certified and North Carolina licensed clinical mental health counselor, massage therapist, and clinical trauma professional with over 30 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. She holds a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine, a master's degree in Health Education, and a second master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. 

Michele uses her extensive professional knowledge and personal experience to help clients explore their life stories in a safe environment. Her practice specializes in women's mental health issues and trauma recovery. Michele takes a somatic emotional approach to therapy, using EMDR, embodied psychology, therapeutic bodywork and traditional counseling methods to create a tailored therapy experience to meet your goals. Michele believes each story has a purpose and is as unique as you are and each of us is innately equipped for healing when we feel safe and secure.

Michele is the owner of Transcendent Wellness in New Bern.

Tried By Fire, Inc. is pleased to be the Dessert Sponsor for our March 5 dinner meeting. This give us the opportunity to announce an original stage play that will be presented in recognition of National Second Chance Month on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the New Bern Civic Theatre. CWF member and award-winning Gospel vocalist, Bonita Burney Simmons, stars in “The Diary of a Mother”, an inspiring story of a mother, dealing with personal struggles, who must work past pain and anger to realize her dreams.

Proceeds from this special fundraising event will benefit our program at My Sister’s House, a transitional home for women, post-incarceration, who have no safe housing alternatives. A limited number of VIP tickets at $100 include a reception with the actors following the performance. Registration is required. Registration deadline is 5:00PM on the Sunday before the evening meeting.

Meal Cancellation Policy:

For both the daytime and evening meetings, if you wish to receive a refund, the final cancellation deadline is 5pm the Sunday before the meeting. 

All cancellation requests and meeting registration questions must be sent to the appropriate coordinator at CWFlunch@gmail.com or CWFdinner@gmail.com. 

If you have not canceled your registration by the deadline, you will NOT receive a refund or credit.
